In conjunction with World Humanitarian Day, two MyAD’s NGO coalition which are Cinta Syria Malaysia (CSM) and Cinta Gaza Malaysia (CGM) organized Festival Kita, a run charity program aimed to raising public awareness about humanitarian issues in Syria and Palestine. This program marks the first collaboration of its kind since the establishment of MyAD in May 2021, serving as a training and testing ground for the secretariat in organizing programs and as a platform for gathering combined NGOs to participate in this festival.
There are many activities that have been organized on the day. Among them are running and cycling, exhibitions, raffles, and sharing about women’s hygiene. In addition, free examinations provided by MAPIM Malaysia are also held through their mobile clinic. This program is a sponsored program under MyAD in which MyAD has sponsored RM30,000.00 for the education fund through the Pusat Bimbingan Alternatif Cinta Syria Malaysia (PBACSM). This festival was held on 19 August 2023 at Padang Semarak, Wetland Putrajaya with various other parties to make this festival a success to hold more activities to attract participants.
